The Countdown Is On...

It's almost that time again!  If you are reading this, you must be really excited about school starting.  Me too!  Mrs. Hill will be sending you a list with all the supplies you'll need for your year in third grade.  I am so excited to meet you.  I know we'll have a great year this year.

What a wonderful year!

I'm writing this tonight with a little bit of excitement, a little bit of pride, and a little bit of sadness.   We have had a wonderful year in third grade.  We have had some fun times this year, and I hope your child would agree.  I am so proud of the hard workers, compassionate classmates, and fourth graders (eeks!) they've become.  I am so very sad to see this year end and to know that my time with this group will never be the same, but I'm so very proud of them and confident in their abilities.  It's been a great year.  Thanks for your kindess and support. I hope you and your family will have a great summer together.  Keep reading and practicing those multiplication facts!

Busy Week!

We're looking forward to our field trip this Thursday.  Make sure your child is dressed for the weather (it may be cool), wears comfortable shoes, and has a sack lunch.  We will be returning at 4:00.  If your child is riding with someone other than you or is riding home from Ludington with you, please send a note. A note is coming home in today's Monday folders.

Ending May

The next few weeks will prove to be busy ones as we cram in as much learning and as much fun as possible. Thank you to all the moms and sons who attended our game night. We hope you had fun. Wow! As I look ahead to May, I can't believe all the events we have.  Here's a quick summary:

May 17: We visit our pen pals in Manton
        18: Mother/Son Game Night
        31: Field Trip to Historic White Pine Village
June   1: Fun to Be Fit

If you are willing and able to provide juice boxes or store-bought cookies for June 1, or are willing to direct students to our area as they finish the run that day, please let me know.

A "Normal" Week?

I almost hate to say this, but I think this week will be a typical week, with nothing extra special (like Junior Police) and the same old teacher (me) each day:-) Looking forward to it!

Busy Week!

We have a busy week ahead!

Monday is the last day I'll be gone for the month as far as I know.  Thank you for your patience.
This Tuesday and Thursday we have Junior Police.  Thursday they will be bringing a special surprise:)
Friday we have library, so don't forget your books!

PS- This week we are planning on creating our "trash creatures," so you have a couple of days to bring those things in.
